Description

PeepToe Shoes

For PeepToe Westfield Sydney, internationally celebrated architects Antonia Pesenti and Patricia Bondin of MAKE, worked closely with PeepToe Director Nikki Hager to create a feel that reflected the PeepToe look and style.

The concept for the boutique was based on the idea of a stylised version of the glamorous French boudoir. "It's every woman's dream walk in closet, housing beautiful shoes, bags and statement jewellery for customers to browse and enjoy their shopping experience with friends." says Nikki.

The graphic style of the boutique allows customers to appreciate the design of the shoes and accessories. Using the PeepToe palette of black, silver and cream the signature PeepToe ribbon and bow graphic has been reinterpreted to form a unique pair of door handles at the entrance of the boutique; each shoe display is framed in a laser-cut graphic take on the French armoire.

"Inspired by the sheer glamour of PeepToe shoes, we designed the boutique to be a showcase for the shoes. The dark walls and floor and black mirrors really allow the colour, texture and design of the shoes to become the focus of the customer's experience" Says Pesenti.

The boutique features a custom designed oversized boudoir-style vanity for the window designed. On the top of the vanity sit three beautiful oval "mirrors" which are left as open frames so customers can look through these "mirrors" to glamorous new PeepToe treasures. A cluster of 6 chandeliers at varying heights form the feature above an oversized display table in the centre of the boutique that will overflow with shoes, and jewellery.
