ALDO is an international brand that specialises in the creation of on-trend fashion footwear and accessories for stylish, young women and men. Since its inception in Montreal, Canada in 1972, ALDO has quickly become one of the leading fashion footwear & accessories brands in the world!
The new ALDO flagship store is now open at Westfield Sydney. A standout feature of the flagship store is the mural by acclaimed Montreal-based artist Tim Barnard, who flew to Sydney especially for the occasion. Barnard spent five days hand painting the "Vault of Trees" using marks that recall leaves, feathers and frills.
Celebrating nature, life and outdoor scenes, Barnard's "treepeople" swim and float up the walls and across the roof, guiding visitors through a spirited shopping journey. The mural acts as part of the store identity and personality, displaying all the creativity and energy that the ALDO brand represents around the world.
The store launches with the ALDO Fall campaign images shot by renowned photographer Terry Richardson, starring Canadian super models Jessica Stam and Matt Gordon. The pair toe-tap, twist, moonwalk and high kick in clogs, brogues, wedges, oxfords and penny loafers featuring shearling, wooden platforms, tassels and tapestry. With themes of American Heritage, Galactic Minimalism, Victorian Wonderland and Military Academy, ALDO boasts styles that are on trend and never out of fashion.
